Chatti Pathiri Sweet Recipe

Kozhikodan Chatti Pathiri or Malabar Chatti Pathiri is a sweet stuffed delicious pancake.

It has a great flavor and this sweet Chatti pathiri recipe of Calicut special snacks was not familiar to the south Kerala people.

It is really tastier, delicious and yummy snacks.

Here I am going to explain to you the Chatti pathiri sweet recipe step by step.

Ingredient

  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Egg
  • Coconut
  • Cardamom powder
  • Badam
  • Cashew nut
  • Raisins
  • Ghee
  • Milk

Methods

Take a bowl

Add flour, water, and salt

Combine well and make a soft dough

Take a piece from the dough

Make that piece into a ball

Do the same for all pieces

Make the ball-sized as a thin tortilla

Take a pan and add coconut and sugar

Combine them well until it turns out to golden color

Take a bowl

Add egg cardamom powder, and sugar

Take a pan and pour ghee

Fry cashew nuts and raisins

Add sliced badam and mix well

Take a deep non-stick pot and add ghee

Take the egg and stir well 

Take milk and dip one tortilla in milk

Dip in egg and put it in pan

Add coconut fill and cover over the tortilla

Put one more tortilla (Dip in milk and egg)

Put one more tortilla above it (dip in milk and egg)

Add remaining egg mixture above it 

Do the process until the tortilla finishes 

Cook more like this as your requirements

Take a lid and cover it

Cook both sides well until it turns out to golden color

Keep 10 – 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • Chicken
  • Egg
  • Oil
  • Flour
  • Onion
  • Green chili
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Salt
  • Pepper powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Garam masala
  • Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves

Methods

Take a bowl

Add flour, salt, and water

Make a smooth dough

Combine well until it turns soft

Make pieces and turn each piece into a ball

Take a ball and make every ball a tortilla

Place these in pan and cook (take out before it turns into brown)

Take a pan 

Add meat, pepper powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, salt, and water

Combine them well

Cook well or you can use a cooker instead of a pan

Take out the meat and cut it into small pieces

Take a pan and oil

Add sliced onion and stir well

Add ginger, green chili, garlic, some curry leaves, and coriander leaves (paste or smashed)

Combine them well 

Add meat and stir well

Add pepper powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, and salt

Mix and stir well

Add curry leaves and coriander leaves again and keeps aside

Take a bowl 

Add eggs and stir well

Take a non-stick pan 

Add oil 

Take one tortilla and dip it in egg 

Put this in pan

Add meat mixture and cover above the tortilla

Take another tortilla and dip it in egg

And put it above the tortilla

Add the meat mixture and cover above well

Do the same for other tortillas

Pour remaining egg last above it

Do the same for meat mixture also

Cook both sides well and wait until it turns into golden color

Elanchi Kerala Recipe – Elanji

The Elanchi is a highly recommended snack for a foodie like you. 

Elanchi recipe is simple and it is stuffed with ripe banana, coconut, sugar, cashew nuts, and raisins.

The Elanji or Elanchi, it is one of my most favorite sweet snack. The taste of Elanchi is flavorful with its mixed coconut, ripe banana, sugar, and cashew nut.

I could feel the taste of Elanchi as something special when I tried it for the first time. It’s because of combined delicious Calicut special snacks ingredients that give a juicy and tasty feel that are really mouth-watering.

Mix it well and add coconut, cardamom, and ripe Banana (optional)

Combine them well

Add maida, salt, egg, and turmeric powder

Combine them well

Pour enough water

Combine well and make a creamy batter (Dont add so much water)

Take a non-stick pan 

Pour enough batter and shape it like dosa

Take the lid and cover it

Keep on medium flame till it cooked
Take it out from the pan once it is cooked

Add coconut and banana filling 

And roll it…

Mutton Cutlet Recipe

  • Bread crumbs
  • Oil

  • potato
  • Curry leaves

Methods

Take a cooker

Add meat, turmeric powder, pepper powder, salt, garam masala, water

Cook well and keep aside

Take pan or cooker again

Add potato and salt

Boil it and smash it after cooked

Add ginger and garlic smashed or paste

Add minced meat

Flatten the ball with your palm or using a banana leaf…

Do the same process for the remaining cutlet mixture and keep aside

Take a bowl

Add egg and stir well

Take another bowl

Add bread crumbs

Take a pan and add oil

Dip the round-shaped cutlet in an egg

And dip in bread crumbs

Place it in the oil

Fry both side well

Drain from the frying pan

Pazham Nirachathu

Pazham nirachathu or stuffed banana is a tasty and juicy sweet of Malabar.

Pazham nirachathu is Malabar’s favorite snack and it can be cooked easily using ingredients like coconut, ripe banana, sugar, maida, cashew nut, and raisins.

Add grated coconut and saute well

Add fried cashew nuts and raisins and keep aside

Take the banana and cut the center slit lengthwise

Cut as straight in three sides of the bananas

Fill those portions with coconut and push the mixture inside the banana

Cover the portions with maida batter

Take pan and heat oil

Fry banana until it becomes golden color
